Iphone 14 pro max revival attempt
I had a customer who needed me to attempt to fix an Iphone 14 pro max that would not leave or boot out of recovery mode no matter what is tried otherwise, if you tried to update or restore it would always end in a failed attempt. This was my theory as to what was happening, to me it seemed as though it was losing power throughout the process or didn’t have enough to finish what it needed to in order to be restored thus shutting down mid restore every time, no matter what cable no matter what port because it must have a faulty battery as my pc alone via usb connection would not be enough to keep it on alone only to be able to charge a already healthy battery or for data connection.
My solution
Time to get a new battery and replace it and see if that works, these aren’t too hard I just have to be gentle with the screen not to break or crack it and I cannot heat it up too much or the battery will burst causing it to spout flames from it.
A look on the inside
Well the battery doesn’t look too swollen by any means but that doesn’t mean the battery is healthy or not, I now have to take off the plate holding down the battery and screen ribbon cables and these screws are tiny as can be I got to be careful!
Then after we have installed the battery successfully we now have to close it back up with new adhesive and then plug it via usb to your pc and download the software update! This may take a few minutes. Once it is downloaded as long as you keep the Iphone plugged in it will automatically start the process.

I have successfully brought back this Iphone 14 pro max back from the dead and in doing so I saved my customer quite the pretty penny and a bunch of hassle work!
